The Turtle Tough LTRA TOUGH Smart Digital pH & ORP Sensor for Slurries is extremely tough. Capable of withstanding high velocity slurries at speeds greater than 3m/s, there are few pH and ORP sensors in the world that could withstand those conditions. The extremely resilient RADEL body material offers excellent resistance to abrasion.
The real secret to this sensor is the glass. pH sensor glass is typically quite fragile and most glass pH membranes would break when impacted by high velocity solids. Our unique and proprietary glass formulation is arguably the strongest pH glass bulb in the world and is capable of withstanding direct impacts from high-velocity slurries. We like to think it is 'virtually' unbreakable for it's intended use.
Low fouling materials combined with an open geometry tip creates a self-clean design that provides for remarkably little maintenance.
